Maricopa Community Theatre began its youth programs in 2010 with a summer teen and children’s theatre summer camp. In 2016 we rebranded into Maricopa Community Youth Theatre!

Our Youth Theatre currently features two programs, our Youth Theatre and our Teen/Young Adult Theatre. Our Youth Theatre features ages 7-19, while our Teen/Young Adult Theatre features ages 13 – 23. Participants of both programs will learn stage presence and movement, voice projection, interpretation of characters along with all other aspects involved in the production of a play. All participants will have a part in the shows. We hold auditions in a warm, judgment-free, open environment and cast on skill and talent. Then we enter rehearsals where you will learn what it takes to put on a show, from learning music, dances, lines, blocking, and most of all HAVING FUN! So I invite you to come have fun and learn about how an actor prepares for the stage or the big screen! I hope to welcome you to our program soon and hope you will come and learn how to “Act Out” with us!
